Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) for Hair Growth

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is a leading non invasive solution for hair restoration and hair growth. Hair loss is a common issue affecting both men and women and is often caused by aging and hormonal changes. However, often times Scalp PRP may be used as a treatment to speed up growth. 

PRP is a type of treatment that takes ones own blood plasma and infuses it into the scalp through a series of injections. Treatments with PRP can also be used through a micro needling device.  

1. Your blood will be drawn.  
2. That blood is then put into a centrifuge and spun down so platelet rich plasma and red blood cells separate. The plasma is known in the skincare world as "liquid gold" due to its healing affects for skin and hair growth.   
3. The PRP is then injected into your scalp by a board certified Skintap dermatologist. PRP is injected in about 50 different places on the scalp in each treatment. 

Platelet rich plasma treatments utilize the rich plasma in your own blood to encourage growth factors and increase collagen to promote hair growth and regrow thinning hair.
